Dear Editor,

I hope that when that evil man who drug his dog with his car is given the maximum sentence when he gets to court. He should be hung. Anyone that mean and cruel isn't fit to live.

It's bad enough to see people keeping a dog on a chain or in a small pen.

I see this all the time. They don't walk the dog, or pet it, or even talk to it and leave it outside in freezing weather. Caring people bring their dogs in the house in freezing weather.

And while I am at it, I was told by a vet that dogs, and cats too, should not be given bones. Most of the time it may be O.K. but one is always taking a chance doing this because the animals chew splinters of the bone and if one punctures their intestines the animal will die a short time later, and the owner will be thinking that someone poisoned the animal.

Chicken bones are especially bad to splinter also, rawhide chews can clog up their intestines and cause death.

Thank you

Iva Prince
