NEWPORT-The Hard Core Disciples of Jesus Christ Masters Ministries Biker Church is hosting their second annual Thanksgiving Feed the Needy Day on Nov. 22 at 2 P.M.

Everyone is welcome to attend. Preacher Ray and the congregation invite anyone who is without a home or family or someone who is simply lonely to come and receive food, fellowship, and prayer at the Biker Church Clubhouse located at 408 West Broadway, in the vicinity of their thrift store and food pantry.

The meal this year will be take-out only. The Hard Core Disciples are serving the usual Thanksgiving meal. The idea of take-out allows everyone to take the food home to families, take it to those who are shut-in, or those who are disabled.

"We are expecting to feed approximately 500 people this year," said Preacher Ray. "Last year, we helped over 200. Also, volunteers are welcome and greatly needed. You can call me at 865-237-2139 or just show up at the Clubhouse."

Preacher Ray explained that the Thanksgiving Feed the Needy Day is an outreach of the Hard Core Disciples Biker Church Ministry. He said that they host such an important event without the help and contributions from businesses and personal donations from the people of Newport and Cocke County.

"You are the greatest people," said Preacher Ray. "You dig deep to help us and help those who can't help themselves. We love you for it."

In addition to the Feed the Needy Day, this year, the Hard Core Disciples will be handing out toys to children under ten years of age, as long as the supplies lasts. The donated toys will be from the Hard Core Disciples thrift store.

Also on the agenda, the Disciples would like to welcome their new youth ministry. The grand opening will be on Dec. 5 at "The Warehouse". The event, The Gathering at the Warehouse, will be located behind Food City West "at the bottom of the hill." There will be bands, food, fun, fellowship, and teachings of Jesus.

Gary and Karen Grasman are the youth leaders for the Biker Church. They are ordained and qualified in the specific ministry of youth. Preacher Ray and the Grasmans would like to invite everyone to check out the new youth gathering.

For more information on up-coming events or to volunteer, please contact Preacher Ray at 865-237-2139.

"We would like to take the time to say thank you and God bless to everyone who gives and helps us in this ministry," said Preacher Ray. "Charity and goodwill come from the heart, and it is in our heart to remember everyone personally. God and we know who you are that strive to help make Cocke County a light unto the world. We are Hard Core Disciples of Jesus Christ Masters Ministries say thank you and God bless everyone."
