Everyone is reminded to set their clocks back one hour
this Saturday night to mark the end of Daylight Saving Time.
Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m., and is
recognized in all states except Hawaii and most of Arizona.
According to the United States Naval Observatory,
beginning in 2007, Daylight Saving time begins the second Sunday each March and
ends of the first Sunday of each November.
Residents are also reminded that the time change provides
a good opportunity for checking batteries in smoke alarms to make sure the are
working properly.
