NEWPORT-A Newport man with numerous medical problems will be the subject of a benefit planned for Saturday, Oct. 17.

Roger Parks has had cancer in the past and suffered a stroke five months ago. He is now unable to work.

Because of his increasing medical bills, Parks and his wife Doris may lose their home.

The benefit will be held at Spirit and Truth House of Prayer in Jesus Name, 142 North Street, starting at 7:30 p.m.

The Glory Land Singers, Walking by Faith, and The Spirit and Truth Singers will be featured.
