Food City West manager Robert J. Huff, 52, of 1979 Holt Town Road, in Newport, was listed in "fair condition"
Wednesday by a spokesperson at Johnson City Medical Center following an accident he was involved in on
Tuesday, June 30. Huff was driving a 1989 Honda motorcycle on Tuesday, just after noon, headed east on
West Broadway, in the inside lane, when a 1997 Ford Aerostar driven by Jerry C. Greene, 76, of 4496 Viking
Mountain Road, in Greeneville, was facing west on West Broadway in the center turn lane. Greene allegedly
started to turn left into the Tobacco Barn lot and struck the motorcycle. Huff was knocked off of his
motorcycle and struck a sign on the right-of-way, according to a report by Sgt. Donna Hopkins. Huff was
wearing a helmet at the time, the report stated.
