Tennessee Department of Transportation's Travis
Brickey said construction is likely to continue until October for a diverted
section of roadway on Highway 321. The Cosby site, located near the intersections
of Dark Hollow and Greasy Cove roads, has been a narrow artery for motorists
passing through the area since work began. Lyons Construction Co. was awarded
the contract to improve drainage in the area. According to Brickey, the project
was 40-percent complete in May. Brickey said the estimated cost of the project
is $950,974.
