HILLSBOROUGH, N.C.—A Cocke County tractor-trailer driver has been sentenced to more than 11 years in prison in connection with a 2011 wreck that killed three people in North Carolina.
According to the Charlotte Observer, a judge sentenced 53-year-old Ronald Eugene Graybeal on Tuesday after he pleaded guilty to three counts of involuntary manslaughter and misdemeanor charges of possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Killed in the accident were John Paul Llanio, 38, of Kannapolis, N.C.; Barbara Boda Caldwell, 64, of Mebane, N.C.; and Gary DeWayne Smith, 45, of Burlington, N.C.
