NEWPORT-One of 15 or more people believed to be involved in a burglary-ring that exchanged stolen property for drugs was arrested Tuesday, Sept. 24, the Cocke County Sheriff's Office reported.
Bobby Lynn Stewart, 36, of 641 Lookout Drive, in Newport, was arrested and charged with theft over $1,000 and possession of drug paraphernalia following a raid of his residence, Det. Kevin Benton, Det. Paul Wilson, and Sheriff Armando Fontes stated.
The sheriff, Chief Deputy John Carrell, Det. Wilson, Det. Benton, and other officers raided Stewart's residence on Lookout Drive, which is located within Newport's city limits, the report stated.
