CHESTNUT HILL--Tennessee Department of Labor & Workforce Development Commissioner Burns Phillips announced that Ball Corporation in Dandridge was chosen to receive the Governor's Award of Excellence for Workplace Safety.
"Ball Corporation has demonstrated strong commitment to maintaining a safe and healthy workplace," said Jim Flanagan, Manager of the Tennessee Occupational Safety and Health Administration's Voluntary Protection Program who presented the Governor's Award of Excellence to the company today. "The evaluation criteria for this award are challenging, and this company has worked extremely hard to meet and exceed the standards the award requires."
