NEWPORTóCocke County Road Superintendent Kenneth Ford told members of the Cocke County Highway Commission Tuesday that efforts are continuing on repairing roads damaged by floods earlier this summer.

Strong storms packing heavy rains caused more than a half-million dollars in estimated road damages in the Del Rio and Cosby areas on July 19. Roads damaged by the storm included Punkton Road, Bull Mountain, Black Branch, Midway, Seay Hollow, Bug Branch, John's Creek, Strange Hollow and Chavis Road.
