KNOXVILLE-Six Cocke County High School seniors will be among the young ladies presented at the prestigious 53rd annual Teen Board Presentation and Dance at Knoxville's James White Coliseum on Saturday, August 3.

Allison Jeanine Ball, Meredith Ivy Bell, Kristen Elizabeth Clark, Elizabeth Ellen Evans, Maci LaShea Goddard, and Mariah Ann Huskey will represent Newport at the occasion, described many years ago by the Birmingham Post-Herald as "one of the most elegant and auspicious occasions on the social calendar of the South."

Founded over half a century ago, the Knoxville Teen Board is a private, non-profit organization for teenagers 14-18 years of age. With adult leadership, its purpose is to guide high school students to become active volunteers in civic and welfare projects. Last year, thousands of volunteer hours were logged.
