NEWPORT-The lineup for this Saturday's (July 20) "Rock the Block 13" concert at Cocke County High School's football stadium will include three bands, an illusionist, and a speaker who almost lost his life to pain pills before he returned to his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Perhaps best of all, the entertainment, food, and expanded Kidz Zone are free to everyone who attends the concert.

Luke Bell, the organizer of Rock the Block 13, said Monday, July 15, that, for him, the final week leading up to the event is his "week of confirmation. I'm making sure I've talked to everyone involved," including Cocke County High School staff and the athletics staff.

Bell said 125 volunteers have worked, or are working, to put on the event, which he hopes will draw 3,500 people, or 1,000 more than last year's Rock the Block concert with MIKESCHAIR.
