JEFFERSON COUNTY-Justin M. Campbell, 24, of Newport, was killed on Tuesday, July 11, when the motorcycle he was on traveling north on U.S. Highway 411 near Bush's Beans crossed the double yellow line and crashed into a vehicle traveling in the opposite direction, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.

THP Trooper Mark Self said the accident occurred at 2:53 p.m.

Campbell, who was wearing a helmet, was reportedly riding a 2006 Suzuki K6R that crashed into a 2011 Ford driven by Jerry W. Robinson, 44, of Jack's Creek, TN. Robinson was injured in the wreck.

Neither alcohol nor drugs are considered factors in the accident, Self stated in his report.
