NEWPORT-The Kiwanis Fire Flies Flicks kicks off this year Saturday, June 1. This is a free outdoor movie series held at the Newport City Park.

Seating is on a first come, first serve basis, and patrons are encouraged to bring blankets or chairs to sit on.

Films will all be rated G, PG, or PG-13.

The mission of Fire Flies Flicks is to help foster a sense of community and enjoyment to Newport and Cocke County by bringing people together to enjoy a movie in a unique setting.

All events are weather permitting, and the schedule is subject to change. Kiwanis Fire Flies Flicks are free and open to everyone. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
