NEWPORT-The sister of murder victim Megan Maxwell and the father of convicted murderer Jeffery Stock were involved in a physical fight with each other at a gas station on West Broadway, in Newport, on Tuesday, May 7.

Capt. Scott Lamb of the Newport Police Department stated that at 5:25 p.m. on Tuesday, police received a complaint of a man and woman fighting at the gas pumps at Mapco, at 250 W. Broadway, in Newport.

Police arrived and found Stephanie Maxwell, whose sister Megan Maxwell was murdered in April 2009.

She allegedly told police she stopped at the gas station to confront Terry Stock about his involvement in the murder of her sister. Terry Stock is the father of convicted murderer Jeffery Stock, who was sentenced to 18 years in prison in January. Jeffery Stock, 46, entered a "best interest" plea to charges of felony second degree murder, theft over $1,000 and arson. A rape charge was dismissed as a part of a plea bargain.
