NEWPORT-A high-speed chase with speeds up to 95 m.p.h. resulted in the arrest on Indian Camp Creek Road, on Friday, April 12, Deputy Sheriff Danny Hartsell reported.

The officer stated that he initially caught Evans on radar driving 69 m.p.h. in a 45 m.p.h. zone, Hartsell stated.

After Hartsell turned his lights on, Evans turned onto Indian Camp Creek Road. He was found in his vehicle turned sideways across both lanes of the road.

Speeds climbed to 95 m.p.h. on Indian Camp Creek Road, as the suspect getting away to where officers could not catch him, according to the report.
