HOT SPRINGS, NC-A one-vehicle accident in Hot Springs, North Carolina on Wednesday claimed the life of a local businessman.

Robert Duncan, 61, owner of Diversified Drywall, died in the accident, one day before his birthday.

A North Carolina native, Duncan and his wife Barbara moved to Cocke County about 30 years ago.

According to a family member, the accident occurred when Duncan's truck struck a rock wall near an intersection of highways.
