McCarter, 23, of Cosby, was killed Tuesday, Feb. 12, when around 5:45 a.m. the Grand Jeep Cherokee he was a passenger in left the eastbound lane of Interstate 40, struck a guardrail, and went airborne, over Golf Course Road, and hit an embankment, the Tennessee Highway Patrol reported.
