BYBEE-A detective with the Cocke County Sheriff's Department has been assigned to investigate the origin of a fire that destroyed a brick residence on Highway 160 in Bybee, according to fire officials.

Det. Jason Oury is investigating the fire at 1406 Highway 160 that was called into central dispatch at 911 at 8:26 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 16.

No one was injured in the blaze, which consumed the one-story brick residence, a camper behind the residence, and two vehicles, according to firefighters.

A Cocke County firefighter, Robert Cashen, said there was electricity to the residence, but not much furniture in it.
