DANDRIDGE-The Newport Roosters are sending a pair of teams to the English Mountain Football Conference Super Bowl this coming Saturday afternoon.

The Roosters grasscutters and peewees proved victorious in the conference's semifinal games held this past weekend at the Field of Dreams in Dandridge.

The annual Super Bowls will be held at Jefferson County High School.

The Newport grasscutters, which advanced to the Super Bowl with a 27-0 win over Pigeon Forge, will face Dandridge for the championship.

Kickoff for the grasscutter game is slated for 12:30 p.m.

The Roosters peewee squad road to the championship however was tougher, as they had to battle Talbott through two overtimes before claiming a 25-19 win. The Roosters will face off with Dandridge, a 20-12 winner over Sevierville on Saturday.

2012 is the second consecutive season that the Roosters have played in the league's Super Bowl.
The Roosters and Broncos will play for the title at 3:30 p.m.

In super grasscutter action, Pigeon Forge will play Dandridge for the championship at 2 p.m. Pigeon Forge defeated Claiborne County 18-6 and Dandridge was a 25-19 winner over Grainger County in the semifinal round.
