NEWPORT-A 62-year-old resident of Elana Lane, in Newport, died in a single-vehicle wreck on Saturday, Nov. 3, the Newport Police Department reported.

Charles Roger Woods, 62, of 602 Elana Lane, in Newport, was the passenger in a 2005 Dodge Neon driven by his wife, Sandra K. Woods, 60, of the same address.

Sandra Woods, and another passenger, went to Newport Medical Center for a check-up on "possible" injuries, Patrolman Allen Stump reported.
