NEWPORT-More plans have been finalized for a benefit planned Saturday, Jan. 23, for a young Newport man critically injured in a motorcycle-truck accident last April in Chattanooga.

Trevor Starnes, son of Joyce Nease and Ricky and Sandy Starnes, all of Newport, spent several days in the hospital following the wreck. He is now at home, but faces more surgeries. He has no insurance.

Steve Brown and Hurricane Ridge will be featured entertainers at Saturday's event. Additionally several items will be auctioned and a dinner of soup beans, cornbread, dessert, and drink will be offered.

The benefit will be held at the East Tennessee Baptist Association building, 760 New Cave Church Road, from 4-8 p.m.

Tickets may be purchased in advance and will also be available at the door.

Trevor has one sister, Melanie Sisk, of Newport.

He is the grandson of Joe and Letha Worex and Jack and Wanda Henry, all of Newport, and the late John J. Reed and the late Lloyd Starnes, Jr.

He is the nephew of James and Billie Colley, Tim and Debbie Gass, Rick and Mary Worex, Gary and Lisa Gregg, Jeff and Linda Starnes, Barry and Melanie (Buffy) Gregory, all of Newport, and Chad Starnes.

He is also the nephew of the late Kay Cutshaw.
