Justin was the only contestant in the final week of the contest to go a perfect 10-0. As our Week 10 winner, Justin will get a $10 gift certificate from Pizza Plus, located at 733 Cosby Highway in Newport, and one free movie rental compliments of Movie Time Video, located at 150 East Broadway in Newport. It was quite a finale both on the high School and college levels this past week. In high school action, Cherokee and Cocke County put up a whopping 100 points Friday night with the Chiefs getting the victory 60-40. Bearden got the better of Knox Catholic 35-16 while Oliver Springs routed Clay County 45-8. Rockwood rolled past Harriman 35-7. And, Austin-East held off Knox Gibbs 19-7. In college action, Tennessee donned black jerseys and made Steve Spurrier see red as the Vols whipped South Carolina 31-13. Texas rolled past Oklahoma State 41-14 while Oregon looks for real, beating Southern California 47-20. Texas Tech pulled away from Kansas 42-21. And, Mississippi State snuck up on Kentucky 31-24. Finishing at 10-0 this past week was Justin Kickliter. Finishing at 9-1 this past week were Kyal Clevenger, LuAnn Meadows, David Kickliter, Billy Massengill, Herb Thomas, Ronnie D. McGaha, Morgan Hall, Bill Templin, Darrin Costner, Kenny Cody, Clint Ramsey and John David Bible. Finishing at 8-2 this past week were Matt Reid, Jordan Strange, Hank Douglas, Sr., James Roth, Mark Sandburg, Robert Gray, Billy Roberts, Herbie Keller, Karen Fraley, Angela Templin, Rachel Allen, A.C. Willis, Frank Bible, Dana Bible, Cody Hembree, Mitch Coakley, Austin Ford, Diana Grooms, Jewell Ottinger, Ronnie Leatherwood, Dione Kyker, Craig Wild, Jason Martin, Jackson Presnell and Eric R. Baxter. Finishing at 7-3 this past week were Adam Lovell, John Jenkins, Tommy V. Lillard, Jr., Tracy Williams, Charles Henderson, Kevin Halcomb, Derrick Webb, Betty McAndrew, Beverly Coakley, Rochelle Kyker, Clinton Provencal, Ken Hall, Sherry Cole and Walter Cole. Finishing at 6-4 this past week were Terry Quinton, Tim Edwards, Julie Souder, Rickie Jones, Evelyn Webb, Cheyenne Kelley, David Shelton and Keith Holcomb. Finishing at 5-5 this past week were D.K. Elliott, Regina M. Lindsey, Ronald McCarter, Jimmy Don Jones and Angie Wills. Finishing at 4-6 this past week were Ginger Ann Hartsell, Eugene W. Brown and Justin Shelton. That leaves us with just the final tabulations to determine final standings, overall winner, and top six. Our overall winner at the end of the season will be presented the Grand Prize, one cinema party for the winner and 19 friends or family members from Newport Cinema 4, located at 424 Heritage Blvd. in Newport. This includes a movie complete with popcorn and drinks for the 20 attendees. The runner-up at the end of the season will receive a portable DVD player from Movie Time Video, located at 150 East Broadway in Newport. The third-place finisher will receive a $50 gift certificate from Poe's Sport Center, located at 160 Highway 25-E in Newport. The fourth-place finisher will win a $50 gift certificate Dazzler's Diamond Showroom, located at 503 Cosby Highway in Newport. The fifth-place finisher will win one night's lodging at any Motel 6, in Newport, located at 225 Heritage Blvd. And, the sixth-place finisher will get a quick lube, oil and filter courtesy of Stinnett's, located at 1041 West Highway 25/70 in Newport.
