Lee, 72, of 215 Gilbert St., in Parrottsville, died in a single vehicle accident on Highway 321 on Tuesday, Sept. 29. Lee was in a 2004 Buick traveling alone south on Highway 321 when, at the intersection with Good Hope Road, at about 11 p.m., he went off the left side of the road, drove down a small embankment, and struck several large rocks in a construction zone before his vehicle came to a stop. Tennessee Highway Patrolman Barry Jarnagin investigated the accident. He reported that Lee was not wearing a seatbelt. "Safety restraints would have made a difference," according to Jarnagin in his report. Copyright © 2012, The Newport Plain Talk |
