NEWPORT-The Edgemont Pee Wee squad is off to a fast start this season. The Ram Pee Wee's have defeated Straw Plains 6-0, Sevierville 6-0 and this past Saturday, Talbott 27-0 en route to a 3-0 start.

"We don't have any superstars," said head coach Joe Worley, "but we are playing really well together as a team. We're thinking Super Bowl, but we have a big game coming up this weekend against Pigeon Forge, who many people think will be the Pee Wee Super Bowl champions."

In Grasscutter action this past Saturday, Newport beat Parrottsville 12-6 while Cosby shut out Gatlinburg 19-0. Edgemont blanked Talbott 17-0 while Sevierville rolled past White Pine 46-0. Dandridge clobbered New Center 53-0, Northview blanked Grainger County 6-0 and Pigeon Forge held off Straw Plains 13-6.

In Super Grasscutter action this past Saturday, Newport rolled past Parrottsville 47-0 while Gatlinburg defeated Cosby 26-6. It was Talbott rolling past Edgemont 41-0 while Sevierville cruised past White Pine 42-0. Dandridge blanked New Center 22-0 while Pigeon Forge defeated Straw Plains 46-20 and Granger County shut out Northview 26-0.

In Pee Wee action, Edgemont blanked Talbott 27-0 while Newport rolled past Parrottsville 34-7. Gatlinburg blanked Cosby 20-0 while White Pine cruised past Sevierville 42-12. Dandridge shut out New Center 26-0 while Pigeon Forge thumped Straw Plains 46-0 and Northview held off Grainger County 19-13.

The schedule this Saturday, September 19, has Edgemont at Pigeon Forge, Northview at Parrottsville, Sevierville at Newport, Talbott at Jefferson City, White Pine at Dandridge, New Center at Grainger County, Straw Plains at Gatlinburg while Cosby has a bye week.

Grasscutters kick things off at 5 p.m.
