©2009 NPT PHOTO SUBMITTED A Cocke County High School student, recently on a family vacation to Wisconsin, completed his first Triathlon event on June 6. Brian Conner of Parrottsville, received a medal for placing 28th in his field of 60 contestants at the event held at Lake Lawn Resort at Lake Delavan, Wisconsin. The event was sponsored by Lake Geneva Extreme Sports as one of several Summer Triathlons in the area. Brian competed in the Super Sprint category, which consisted of swimming a quarter mile, biking 12 miles and running 1 mile. His time for the event was 1:23:43. Brian runs track and is on the cross country team at Cocke County High School, where he will be a junior this Fall. Significant to this triathlon was a water temperature that day of 62 degrees and an air temperature of 56 degrees.
