Woman allegedly threatened with machete Kathy E. Durham, 51, of 1154 Sweet Water Road, told Cocke County Deputy Sheriff Joseph Owings that on Tuesday, June 2, a couple came to her house. The man cursed her and got very angry with her. Before they left in their car, the man allegedly pulled out a machete and told Durham she "was going to get it." Burglary reported Donnie Padgett, 54, of 260 Airport Road, in Bybee, told Cocke County Deputy Sheriff Robert Thornton that on Tuesday, June 2, when Padgett returned home, he found someone had broken into his house through the back door. He said his house was "trashed," and gone were $200 in cash, a jar of coins, and a DVD player, at a total loss of $400. Pressure washer reported stolen Liston C. Sane, 62, of South Highway 340, in Parrottsville, told Cocke County Deputy Sheriff Robert Thornton that on Monday, June 1, his pressure washer kept at his son's house on Ponderosa Road was gone. The pressure washer is worth $300, according to Sane. Bicycle reported stolen Jenny Overholt, 36, of 755 Highway 321, in Newport, told Lt. Rick Laws of the Cocke County Sheriff's Department that on Wednesday, June 3, in the morning, someone stole his daughter's 26-inch Roadmaster bicycle worth $100 that was behind his home.
