DEL RIO-Firefighters from three departments responded to a house fire at a residence owned by Zach Cannon, no age given, 1281 Smoky Hollow Way, Del Rio, early Saturday that left four residents without a home, but safe from injury.

Parrottsville Volunteer Firefighters were first to respond to the blaze around 12:30 a.m. Saturday morning with 11 firefighters and three trucks. Members of the Long Creek Volunteer Fire Department and Cocke County Fire Department also responded to the fire.

According to Cocke County Firefighter Robert Cashen, "The structure was on the ground when we got there." Cashen continued, "A propane tank was venting. Our main concern was cooling that tank off." Cashen said there were four people in the home at the time of the fire, which included a child under one-year of age.

Parrottsville Volunteer Fire Department Chief Kenny Trentham said that one of the victims of the fire possibly suffered mild smoke inhalation but nothing serious.

At press time, firefighters didn't know what caused the fire.
