The Cocke County Claybusters changed things up a bit on Saturday, June 28, as they enjoyed a day of sporting clays and a cookout. Dr. Jeff Foster treated the coaches and shooters to a fun day of shooting at Fowler Farms Sporting Clays and Game Preserve in Hot Springs, North Carolina. After 50 targets through 10 exciting shooting stations, the Fowler Farms staff grilled delicious hamburgers with all of the trimmings. Top scorers, who won T-Shirts, included Kyle Valentine, Shayn Loy, Wesley Smelcer and McCauley Clark. Claybustersą head coach Tim Pack thanked Dr. Foster and Fowler Farms for a thrilling adventure in shooting and for being fantastic hosts. This is the third year Dr. Foster has treated the team with a trip to Fowler Farms, which the squad had thoroughly enjoyed each and every year. Front row, from left, are Leah Thornton, McCauley Clark, coach Kendall Clark and Wesley Smelcer. Second row, from left, are Blake Elkins, coach Tim Pack and Shayn Loy. Third row, from left, are Kyle Valentine and Jordan Pack. And fourth row, from left, are Cline and Mary Ruth Fowler, owners of Fowler Farms, and Dr. Jeff Foster. Not pictured are coach Mark Swann and Jake Swann. The next competition for the Claybusters is the Nationals SCTP Shoot in Sparta, Illinois on August 4 and 5. The squad could use your help in financing the trip. Any and all donations would be greatly appreciated. Contact coach Tim Pack at (423) 623-5367.
