Friday May 16, will be the last day the Boys
& Girls of Newport/Cocke County will come together at their current
location on Driskill Circle.
The Boys & Girls Club will begin its summer
program Thursday, May 29, at its new facility located at 531 Bailey St. The
club is open for children ages 7 to 18 with programs in five core areas:
Character & Leadership, Education & Career, Health & Life Skills,
The Arts, and Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
Registration will begin May 19. Cost to join the club
is $10. Summer hours are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Lunch will be
provided. All members will need to attend an orientation before attending the
club. Orientation is offered May 19 and 23 at 4 and 5 p.m., May 27 and 28 at 4
and 5 p.m.
Beginning May 29, hours will begin at 8:45 a.m. Monday
through Friday. For more information
