Raymond A. Kolar

Raymond A. Kolar, age 82, of Newport, passed away Friday, October 18, 2013, at his home.

He was a member of Westend Tabernacle and was a lover of horses, racing and a Thoroughbred horse breeder, and a veteran of the United States Army Reserves.

He was preceded in death by his wife Sue Kolar, parents William and Victoria Kolar, and sister Nancy Berish.

He is survived by his sons and their wives: Philip and Pamela Kolar of Newport, Gary Raymond and Candy Kolar of Knoxville, and Michael Allen and Ronda Kolar of Newport; grandchildren Jason Kolar, Amanda Chagnon, Whitney Victoria Ottinger, and Devin Michelle Kolar; great-grandchildren Ryan and Cole Chagnon, and Ally Gayle Love Ottinger; brothers Jerry Kolar of Tampa, FL; William ‘Butch’ Kolar of Ocala, FL; Danny Kolar of Cleveland, OH; sisters Linda Tome and Joyce Yates, both of Cleveland, OH; and brother Joe Barish of Bricksville, OH.

A memorial service will be held at Westend Tabernacle on Wednesday, October 23, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. with brother, brother-in-law, and Pastor Dr. Earl Campbell officiating.
