Jimmy R. Butler

Jimmy R. Butler, age 77, of Newport, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2013, at his home.

He was a member of Cave Hill Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for forty years.

He was preceded in death by his wife Annie Butler and parents Larmie and Sally Butler.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Bobby and Diane Butler and Lynn and Kim Butler, daughter and son-in-law Missy and Dwayne Fletcher, special nephew Charles Glen Epley and wife Carolyn, grandchildren April (Jimmy) Williams, Brittany (Josh) Barnes, Chelsey (Brooks) Witcher, and Macy Bryant, great-granddaughters Hali Williams, Mikayla Williams, Aubrey Witcher, and Breyona Barnes, brothers Roger Butler and Wayne Butler, sisters Peggy Giles and Sandra Hux, as well as nieces, nephews, and other family and friends.

Funeral services were held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, October 20, 2013, at Manes Funeral Home West Chapel with Rev. James Suggs and Rev. Jimmy Williams officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, October 21, 2013, in Cave Hill Cemetery.

The family received friends from 5:007:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral services.
