Fred Lacey Thomas, Jr.

Fred Lacey Thomas, Jr., age 74, of Farragut, TN, passed away early Wednesday morning, July 3, 2013, surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer.
Fred was a member of the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan.
He enjoyed boating and travel. Fred was a graduate of Maryville High School and attended East Tennessee State University. He retired in 1990 as founder and president of STACO Products.
He was preceded in death by his parents Fred L. Thomas, Sr. and Francis Inman Thomas, and sister Carolyn Brient.
He is survived by his wife Paula Sue Thomas, daughter Julie Day Gentry, son Christopher Scott, granddaughters Lacey English and Lindsey English, nieces and nephew Karen Paxton, Teresa Barnett, and Johnny Brient, and sister-in-law Kathey Murphy.
Funeral services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Monday, July 8, 2013, at the Episcopal Church of the Good Samaritan, 425 North Cedar Bluff Road, Knoxville. Family and friends will gather at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at Sherwood Memorial Gardens Mausoleum for graveside services and entombment.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Humane Society of the Tennessee Valley, P. O. Box 51723, Knoxville, TN 37950 or to the Volunteer Ministry Center, P. O. Box 325, Knoxville, TN 37901.
