Pattie Blackman, age 78, of Cosby, passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012. She was a member of Liberty Church. A devout Christian, loving mother and wife. Pattie spent a lot of her life serving people. She loved entertaining and making people feel like family at Serenity Falls Cabins in Cosby.
She was preceded in death by her parents T.J. and Velma Godwin and first husband William Ray Blackman, Sr.
She is survived by her husband, Robert Blackman of Cosby; sons William Ray (Bill) Blackman, Jr. and wife Gina of Gautier, Mississippi; daughters Linda Ivey and husband, Richard of Vancleave, Mississippi, Kim Martin and husband, Craig of Cumming, Georgia, Pam Blackman of Ocean Springs, Mississippi; brothers Tony Godwin of Huntsville, Alabama, Dan Godwin of Monticello, Mississippi and Joe Godwin of Gautier, Mississippi; sister Nell Evans of Arab, Alabama; mountain children Neil, Lisa, Aaron, and Jeanie Shults; nine grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Rush officiating. Burial will be held in Vancleave, Mississippi.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. prior to funeral service at Manes Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to provide Gideon Bibles to continue her Christian Witnessing.
