Dennis Mark "Frog" Owens, age 53, of Newport, passed away Friday, October 30, 2009.

He was a member of Riverview Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents James P. and Myrtle Owens and a brother Charles Edward Owens.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law Wayne and Janet Owens of Del Rio; J. P. and Sheila Owens of Newport; sister Susan Davis and husband Henry Embrey of Newport; brother Mike Owens of Newport; sister-in-law Janelle Wright of Parrottsville; also many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 3, 2009, in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Tim Grooms and Rev. Kenneth Wilson officiating. Burial will follow.

The family will receive friends from 6-9 p.m. Monday, November 2, 2009, at Manes Funeral Home.
