James L. Hale, Jr., age 86, of Newport, passed away, Tuesday, October 27, 2009 at Baptist West Hospital.
He was a member of Newport Masonic Lodge # 234 F&AM.
He was preceded by is wife, Marian Hale; beloved son of, James and Hattie Hale; brother, Lacy Hale; and sister, Wanda Erlene Valentine.
He is survived by his brother, William Hale, Jefferson City; sister, Betty Brooks, Maryville; and special friends, Frank and Rowena Waldrop, Cosby; also several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held 2:00 pm Thursday, October 29, 2009 in Union Cemetery.
