Allie Joe Mills, age 78, of Fort Mill, South Carolina, formerly of Newport, died Friday, March 22, 2013, at the Piedmont Medical Center, Rock Hill, South Carolina.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Fannie Penland Mills.

He is survived by his sons and daughters-in-law Richard and Kathy Mills of Charlotte, NC and Steven and Robin Mills of Rock Hill, SC; grandchildren Mark Mills, Sheena Prior, Serena Heid (Joshua), and Steven Mills II (Brittany); and great-grandchildren Lillian Prior, Madelynn Prior, Abbee Prior, and Allie Heid.

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, March 24, 2013, at Union Cemetery with the Rev. Martin Stump officiating.

Friends may call from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the services at Brown Funeral Home.
