Herbert A. Doan, age 58, of Dandridge, died suddenly Tuesday, February 19, 2013, at the University of Tennessee Medical Center. 

He was a member of Grace Baptist Church of Dandridge. He was a graduate of Sullivan Central High School and had attended the University of Tennessee. Herbert was the farm manager for Wilson Farms of Newport and was a former employee of Knoxville Livestock Center, East Tennessee Livestock Center, and Lay's Packing Company. 

Herb was a lifetime member of the American Hereford Association and was a board member and Past President of the Tennessee Hereford Association and the East Tennessee Hereford Association.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bruce and Louise (Dodson) Doan and father-in-law, Charles Mason. 

He is survived by wife of 31 years, Angie Doan; son, Adam Doan; brothers, David (Jane) Doan and Roy (Linda) Doan; mother-in-law, Peggy Mason; brothers-in-law Chuck (Tenika) Mason and Skip (Lisa) Mason; cousins Linda and Brenda Dodson, Barbara Hickman and Nancy Bolinger; several special nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. 

In lieu of flowers the family request that memorials be made to the Grace Baptist Church Building Fund, 452 Cline Road, Dandridge, TN 37725.

Funeral services will be Thursday, February 21, 2013, at 7:00 p.m. at Grace Baptist Church with Rev. Perry Davis officiating.  Interment graveside services are set for Friday, February 22, 2013, at 10:30 a.m. at Grace Baptist Church

Cemetery.  Family will receive friends on Thursday, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. prior to services at the church.
