Jennie Ruth Whaley, age 79, of Newport, passed away Friday, February 15, 2013, at her home.

She was preceded in death by her husband Harrison (Botch) Whaley, brothers Billy and Jerry Breeden, and sister Rita Williams.

She is survived by her sons David (Kathy) Whaley and Kenny Whaley, all of Newport; daughters Judy (Paul) Webb and Gail Matthews, all of Newport; sisters Mary (Billy) Violet and Barbara Breeden, all of Newport and Cordelia (Jimmy) Marshall of Bybee; grandchildren Josh (Tiffany) and Jake Webb, Matthew (Laura), Caleb, and Glenna Kate Whaley; and Cole Matthews; great-grandchildren Aiden, Tucker, and Piper Whaley; also other family and friends.

Graveside services were held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday, February 17, 2013, at the Breeden Family Cemetery with Dr. Frank Bell officiating.
