She was a charter member of Heartsease Garden Club and achieved over 50 years of perfect attendance. She loved flowers and had a special gift when it came to their care. She will be remembered as a kind, caring, and generous neighbor and friend to all who were blessed to call her friend. She always had kind words to all people who came into contact with her. Her motherly instincts not only cared for her husband and sons, but extended to her sisters, brothers, grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, and cousins.

The Fancher boys were blessed to have Gene and Dean for parents. Thanks to all who have extended kind words, prayers, and help for the past four years. Her church and her family were the main focuses of her life.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, February 7, 2013, at First United Methodist Church, Newport. Friends will be received from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the services on Thursday with Rev. Marta Cogburn and Rev. Rick Spell officiating.
