Michael Eugene Dennis, age 51, of Newport, passed away Saturday, February 2, 2013, at his home.

Mr. Dennis was a retired veteran of the United States Navy with 20 years of service.

He was preceded in death by his father Estel Dennis, brothers Daniel Crumbley, Wayne Messer, and James Gregg; and grandparents Kaywood Dennis and Cora Sue Bryant Dennis.

He is survived by his wife Lucille Dennis, mother Katherine Dennis, stepchildren Joshua Taylor and Janice Taylor, all of Newport; brothers Herbert Dennis of Cosby, Junior, Hubert, Ronnie, and Bobby Crumbley; sister Doris Messer Webb, all of Newport; his pride and joy Harlee Taylor, special niece Tina Crumbley of Newport; also many other family and friends.

The family received friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday, February 3, 2013, followed by the funeral service at 7:00 p.m. in Manes Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Bradley officiating.
