Pauline Crum, age 102, of Newport, died Tuesday, January
29, 2013, at Tennova Newport Medical Center.
She was born July 27, 1910, in Dorchester, Virginia, the
daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Solomon Black.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by
her husband Leonard Crum, daughter Eula Crum Gregory, and several brothers and
sisters.
Surviving are four sons: Earl Crum, Mack Crum, Elwood
Crum, and L. D. Crum, all of Newport, and daughter Jewel Crum Hall of Aberdeen,
Maryland; brother S. C. Black and sisters Rachael Ball and Jonita Ball, all of
Newport; also twelve grandchildren, and many great-grandchildren and
great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday,
February 1, 2013, at Resthaven Memorial Gardens with the Rev. Robert Lee Ball
officiating.
