Henry Rudean (Skip) Woods, age 69, passed away January 25, 2013, at his home in Knoxville with his family by his side.

He was born June 17, 1948, in Newport, Tennessee.

He was a 1961 graduate of Tanner High School in Newport. He served in the United States Army for four years. He was employed by Bechtel Jacobs Company, LLC for 36 years.

Skip loved to travel, fish, play golf, and sports car racing. He will be remembered for his landscaping skills with topiary artistic display.

He loved his family so much. We will miss his surprise visits and words of wisdom.

He is survived by his mother Suella Woods, father Marvin Woods, two sisters Dollie Woods Williams (Fred) and Diana Woods Kinard (Oliver), two brothers John E. Woods (Philippi) and Williams S. Woods; one aunt Hazel Johnson, one uncle Raymond Woods, four nieces, two nephews, six great-nieces, and two great-nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, January 29, 2013, in the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Robinson Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 p.m. at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the services.
