Betty Peden Robinson, 85, of Newport, died Wednesday evening, January 9, 2013, at Parkwest Hospital following a short illness.

She was the widow of the late James 'Jim' Robinson, former Newport mayor.

The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 p.m., Saturday, January 12, 2013, at First United Methodist Church with funeral services following at 2:00 p.m. The Rev. Rick Spell will officiate.

Interment will be in Union Cemetery.
