Mrs. Marie Phillips, age 76, of Cosby passed away
Saturday, January 5, 2013 at Newport Medical Center.
She was of the Baptist faith.
She was preceded in death by her husband Clemmon
Phillips, son Jerry Phillips, daughters Emma Jean Phillips and Charlene Haney,
and parents Alice and Arlie Webb.
She
is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law Scott and Barbara Ball, Ralph and
Brenda Phillips, Bobby and Crystal J. Phillips, Ricky and Jamie Phillips,
Daniel and Crystal Phillips; sons Howard Phillips and Billy Ray Phillips, all
of Cosby, daughter Mary Phillips, of the home; daughter and son-in-law Zelma
and Tim Hux of Parrottsville; grandchildren Johnny Ball, Jamie Berryhill,
Kristie Phillips, Geneva McGill, Vanessa Berryhill, Polly Teague, Makayla
Phillips, Amber Phillips, and Alvin Berryhill, all of Cosby, eleven
great-grandchildren, and special friend Tammy McGaha of Cosby. Additional
survivors include several brothers, sisters, nieces, and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 8:00 p.m. Tuesday,
January 8, 2013, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. William
"Tinker" Clark, Rev. Ricky Hurst, and Rev. Carroll Miller
officiating. Family and friends will meet at 10:45 a.m. Wednesday morning,
January 9, 2013, at the Caton's Grove Cemetery for the 11:00 a.m. interment. The family will receive friends from
6:00 until 8:00 p.m. Tuesday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the
service.
