Kenneth " Smiley" Hall, age 81, of Newport, passed away Saturday, January 5, 2013 at the Newport Medical Center.

He was preceded in death by his parents Frank and Willie Mae; sister Helen Leonetti; brothers Raymond Hall and Billy Joe Hall.

Survivors include daughters Geraldine Ridens (Gary), Mary Lou Burns (Greg), Deborah Ann Smith; son Charles Everette Hall (Penny); brother William "Buggy" Hall; and sisters Inez Hall and Mildred Hale. There are seven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren along with nieces and nephews and friends.

Funeral service will be 7:00 p.m., Tuesday, January 8, 2013 in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Graveside service will be 11:00 a.m., Wednesday, January 9, 2013 at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 5:00-7:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home.
