Richard Samples, age 72, of Bybee, passed away Thursday, January 3, 2013.

He was a retired pipe welder. He always enjoyed training horses and mules and working on the farm.

He was preceded in death by his parents Tosch and Bernice Fox Samples, and brothers Edward, Johnny, Bruce, Joe, Arvel, and Alvin Lee Samples.

He is survived by his wife Betty Jean Samples of Bybee, son Randy (Sherrie) Samples of Russellville; daughter Vanessa (Mark) Roberts of California; brothers Bill Samples and Junior Lee Samples, sisters Delcie Mae Hyleman, Loretta Samples, and Mary Morie; grandchildren Leigh Ann Samples, David Roberts, Heather (Justin) Shaw; great-grandchildren Grant Roberts, Aliza Shaw, and Aaliyah Shaw; and several nieces, nephews, and a host of other special family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Sunday, January 6, 2013, with George McAmis officiating. Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 7, 2013, in the Dandridge Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Sunday prior to the funeral services.
