Charles Nease Valentine, 69, formerly of the Orebank
community, passed away Tuesday, December 18, 2012, at the home of his brother
Billy Valentine and special friend Nancy Barboza in Midway, Tennessee.
He was born in Cocke County, Tennessee on October 31,
1943. He was a blessing to his
family and friends and he never met a stranger.
Survivors include a sister and brother-in-law Polly and Bill Carter; sister Betty Strange; brothers and
sisters-in-law James and Mary Valentine, Bobby and Sandra Valentine, and Billy
Valentine; sister-in-law Patricia Valentine; several nieces, nephews,
great-nieces, and great-nephews; special family and caregivers Linda Parman and Nancy Barboza; and
special friends Ivorenne and Harvey Collins and his neighbor Angie.
He was preceded in death by his parents Eulas and Cora
(Stuart) Valentine; a brother Thomas Valentine; a sister and brother-in-law
Louise and L.V. Gregg; a brother-in-law James (Dexter) Strange; a niece Mary
Hoglen; and a nephew James Edward Valentine, Jr.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to
the staff and doctors of Laughlin Memorial Hospital and Caris Home Health.
The family will receive friends 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. Friday
at Kiser-Rose Hill Funeral Home.
The funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m. Saturday,
December 22 at Ray's Chapel Baptist Church in Newport, Tennessee. Rev. Nathan Valentine and Rev.
Jimmy Faye Trantham will officiate.
Interment will follow at Ray's Chapel Baptist Church
Cemetery.
His pallbearers will be Billy and Sammy Valentine, David
Carter, Joseph Trantham, Jeff Parman, Andrew Parman, Clemente Barboza, Keith
Valentine, and Roger Key.
Meshach Parman, Dominic Rojas, and Hunter Valentine will
serve as honorary pallbearers.
