J. Harold Coggins, age 69, of White Pine, passed away Sunday, December 16, 2012, at Jefferson City Health and Rehabilitation.

J. Harold was born in Del Rio to Ike and Addie Coggins on March 26, 1943. He worked as a truck driver/mechanic for over 40 years.

He was preceded in death by his parents Ike and Addie Coggins, sisters Zeta Rollins and Juanita Ball, and brothers Don and Fate Coggins.

He is survived by his wife Diane of White Pine; daughter Michelle of New Market; granddaughter Alyssa of New Market; sisters Geraldine Hartsell of Parrottsville; Serita Bible of Newport; Shirley Goodnough of Simpsonville, SC; Zina Ganis of Savannah, GA; brothers Major Coggins of Newport and Jeter Coggins of Gerard, OH; along with several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 19, 2012, in the chapel of Brown Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Hensley officiating. Interment with military honors will follow in Union Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:00-1:00 p.m. prior to the services at the funeral home.
