Mrs. Caroline Ball, age 65, of Cosby, passed away Tuesday, December 11, 2012, at Newport Medical Center.

She was a member of New Beginnings Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents Robert and Nellie Burdette and sister Patsy Miller.

She is survived by her husband James Ball of the home, son and daughter-in-law Robert 'Bobby' and Shannon Grooms, daughter and son-in-law Pamela (Grooms) and Ray Frazier, grandchildren Alexander 'Alex' Suggs of Knoxville, Hunter Suggs of Newport, Kiana Grooms of Sevierville, Genevieve Grooms, Corbin Hall, and Quinton Hall, all of Newport; and niece Tina Pasini (Paul) George of New Jersey. Additional survivors include several brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law.

The funeral service will be at 8:00 p.m. Thursday, December 13, 2012, at the Costner-Maloy Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Gary Ball officiating. Family and friends will meet at New Beginnings Church Cemetery at 11:45 a.m. Friday, December 14, 2012, for the 12:00 interment service. The family will receive friends from 6:00-8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at Costner-Maloy Funeral Home prior to the services.
